Bunker Node/Host

The bunker node is an additional Secondary located at a site that is close to the Primary but not within the same premises as that of the Primary. This host contains an RVG comprising of only the Replicator Log without any data volumes. The Bunker host can be within the same WAN as the Primary, that is, far enough not to be affected by the local disasters at the Primary but close enough for the synchronous replication not be affected.
