disk array

A collection of disks controlled and managed through firmware. See also storage array.

A collection of disks logically and physically arranged into an object. Arrays provide benefits including data redundancy and improved performance.

Multipathed disk array type that allows I/O through all paths to a disk simultaneously, without any performance degradation.
