suspected spam

A category of messages separate from spam. Customers using Symantec Mail Security 8200 Series appliances can use the Control Center to define the suspected spam category based upon spam scoring, and can then specify different actions to be taken on suspected spam and spam.

A category of messages. You can use the Brightmail Control Center to define a message category called suspected spam, based on spam scoring. You can then specify different actions for spam messages and suspected spam messages.

A message that Symantec Brightmail Gateway deems could potentially be spam based on scores derived from pattern matching and heuristic analysis. Through policies, you can specify different actions for the messages that are identified as suspected spam. See also spam.
